If camera access is denied or unavailable, MotionRise provides an accessible fallback so the session can continue.
VoiceOver support
Core session controls include explicit accessibility labels and hints. Progress, camera status, movement guidance, the exit action, and fallback controls expose descriptive information to VoiceOver rather than relying on visuals alone.
Reduce Motion
MotionRise reads the system Reduce Motion preference and avoids nonessential animated transitions when that setting is enabled.
Camera and pose fallback
Camera-based pose recognition can be affected by lighting, framing, mobility, clothing, assistive equipment, or the surrounding space. When camera verification cannot be used, the app offers a fallback control with an accessibility label and hint.
Physical access and safety
Choose movements that are appropriate for you and use a clear, stable area. MotionRise is not medical advice and does not assess whether a movement is safe for a particular person. Stop if you feel pain, dizziness, or instability.
The current ritual uses jumping jacks, squats, and a plank. Broader movement customization and a complete Dynamic Type, contrast, and assistive-technology audit remain areas for continued accessibility work.
Accessibility status and feedback
No App Store accessibility support declaration is currently published for MotionRise. This page does not claim full accessibility or formal conformance.
Report a barrier in the public GitHub Issues support channel, including the screen, iOS version, device, assistive technology, and the result you expected. Do not include camera frames, profile photos, or other sensitive information in a public issue.
VoiceOver labels, Reduce Motion behavior, and the camera fallback are source-reviewed. A complete Dynamic Type, contrast, and physical-device assistive-technology audit remains open.
