Prepare a clear palm photo, understand the reading flow, and resolve common issues.

Device requirements

iPhone

PalmFable is designed as an iPhone-first experience.

iOS 27 or later

The current project deployment target is iOS 27.

Back camera

A physical device is required for in-app palm capture.

Even lighting

Use indirect, even light with your open palm filling the guide.

Your first reading

  1. Review the onboarding and acknowledge PalmFable’s entertainment-only purpose.
  2. Choose Open camera and allow camera access.
  3. Keep your palm open and relaxed in even light.
  4. Review what the camera observed, then continue to your reflective story.

Troubleshooting

The camera does not start

Open iPhone Settings, find PalmFable, and allow Camera access. Return to the app and try again. The current reading flow requires in-app camera capture.

PalmFable cannot find a hand

Use one open palm facing the camera. Move into even, indirect light, keep your fingers visible, and fill the on-screen guide without cropping the hand.

Not enough palm detail is visible

Hold the camera steady, move a little closer, avoid hard shadows and glare, and make sure the center of the palm is in focus.

The on-device model is not ready

Keep PalmFable open while the model finishes downloading and preparing, then choose Try Again. Reviewed local answers remain available if model preparation cannot finish.

A saved reflection is missing

Readings are stored locally on the device. PalmFable has no developer-operated recovery server, so data removed from the library or deleted with the app cannot be restored by support.
