PalmFable aims to make its reflective journey understandable and operable across different ways of seeing and interacting with an iPhone.

Camera access is required for the current reading flow.

PalmFable provides text guidance and status descriptions, but it does not yet offer a non-camera path to a new reading.

VoiceOver

Core onboarding and reading controls use labels, grouped descriptions, and focus management so their purpose is not communicated by imagery alone. Camera instructions and analysis status are presented as text.

Reduce Motion

PalmFable reads the system Reduce Motion preference and removes nonessential onboarding transitions when that setting is enabled. This documentation site also honors the browser’s reduced-motion preference.

Text and color

The app uses semantic SwiftUI text styles where practical and pairs status color with text or a symbol. The core light and dark palettes were selected to maintain strong text contrast.

A complete physical-device audit across every Dynamic Type size and assistive technology remains ongoing.

Camera access

Hand detection can be affected by lighting, framing, mobility, skin contrast, assistive equipment, or the surrounding space. The current flow requires in-app camera capture and a sufficiently clear view of an open palm. A non-camera reading path is an area for future accessibility work.

Accessibility feedback

Report a barrier in the public GitHub Issues support channel. Include the screen, iOS version, device, assistive technology, and expected result. Do not include palm photos or personal information in a public issue.
