This policy describes the current Veggie Sleuth source design. It applies to the app and this informational site. The App Store release is in preparation; runtime data handling and all claims below remain pending release-equivalent verification, and we will update this page if the shipping build changes these practices.
Normal quiz play is designed to be local and offline
Current source is designed to run the normal quiz experience without an internet connection. A local profile, display name, avatar, answers, discoveries, scores, accuracy, streaks, recent activity, and preferences may be stored in the app’s local container on your iPhone. No account is required by the current source.
Current source is designed not to send this local profile information to the developer or a third party. The planned control is Profile → Reset progress; removing the app removes its local container.
No advertising, analytics, or purchases in the v1 design
Version 1 source is designed without advertising, analytics, in-app purchases, a paywall, RevenueCat/RevenueCatUI, AdMob, or other remote SDKs. It is designed not to track you across apps or websites. These statements remain subject to release-equivalent verification before the App Store release.
User-chosen web links
The app opens support, privacy, or accessibility pages in your browser only when you select one of those links. Your browser and the website host then handle that request under their own policies.
This website
This informational site has no app-owned analytics, advertising scripts, forms, cookies, or account system. GitHub hosts it through GitHub Pages and may process ordinary web-request information under the GitHub General Privacy Statement.
What we do not request
Veggie Sleuth does not require an account, email address, social profile, public posting, chat, camera, microphone, contacts, location, health data, or other sensitive input.
Children and sensitive information
Do not enter sensitive personal information into a display name or a public support issue.
Changes and contact
We will change this page when the app’s data practices change. General questions can use the public Support page without personal information. For a privacy request or report that needs personal or device-specific context, use the repository’s private report form. Never include passwords, full payment-card information, or unrelated personal data.
